One of the senior members of our specialist property team David has over twenty years advocacy and advisory experience at all levels up to the Court of Appeal including the specialist Tribunals such as the Rent Assessment Panel and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
David's particular specialisms within the property team are leasehold enfranchisement, restrictive covenants and forfeiture of commercial leases but he accepts instructions across the range of property law disputes as well as appearing and advising on cases in related fields such as professional negligence and insolvency.
David is instructed by client companies with an international presence as well as local authorities, managing agents and individuals. He accepts instructions under the Bar Council's Direct Professional Access and Public Access schemes.
David's reported cases include:
Renshaw & Ors v Magnet Properties South East LLP [2008] 4 EG 170 - whether or not the reversioner was entitled to serve a counter-notice under the Leasehold Reform Housing & Urban Development Act 1993,
Kastner v Jason & Sherman & Sherman [2004] EWCA 1599, (2005) 1 Lloyd's Rep 397 - case which covers equitable remedies, freezing injunctions and security interest in property amongst others matters and
Savva & Anr v Houssein (1996) 2 EGLR 65, 1996 (eg) 138 - which deals with a landlord's notice under s.146 Law of Property Act 1925.
