Mark prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court. Cases he has undertaken include murder (as junior counsel), serious violence and public order offences, kidnapping, supply of Class A drugs, sexual offences, money laundering and high value theft / deception. He has also defended in Courts Martial proceedings.
Mark also practises in the specialist area of asset forfeiture. He undertakes restraint, receivership and cash forfeiture proceedings in the Crown and Magistrates Courts both for the defence and on behalf of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). He has appeared as junior counsel for HMRC in significant cases before the Court of Appeal.
Mark lectures on confiscation and the proceeds of crime. He is a contributor to the Proceeds of Crime Review.
