This webinar session - 'Connected Cruelty: Understanding Abuse Across Humans and Animals' - will examine the multidisciplinary approach required to identify and intervene in these overlapping cycles of harm.

Mark Randell | Campaigns Manager, Naturewatch Foundation
- A former senior detective with 30 years of policing experience, Mark specializes in serious crime and undercover tactics. For the past 15 years, he has led international efforts to strengthen legislation by highlighting the link between animal cruelty and wider criminal behavior.
Maya Badham | Founder, Loop Safeguarding
- Maya is a human rights lawyer and domestic abuse specialist with over a decade of experience in survivor support. She is currently conducting PhD research on how domestic abuse trauma affects animals and advocates for animal-inclusive safeguarding policies.
Nadine Harding | Senior Lecturer in Policing, University of Gloucestershire
- Nadine brings academic and practical expertise in policing, focusing on how law enforcement can better understand and address complex social harms.
Christina Warner | Barrister, 33 Bedford Row
- Christina is an accomplished practitioner specialising in Children Act and Family Law Act matters, with particular expertise in cases involving vulnerable individuals, including those with disabilities. Christina also has a distinctive focus on animal protection within family law, advising on the welfare of companion animals in domestic abuse and family breakdown cases.
