Milad Shojaei appeared in the High Court (Family Division) in consecutive appeal hearings, successfully appealing two separate decisions of a Circuit Judge arising from the same private children proceedings.
The first appeal was determined on 7 October 2025 and the second heard and determined on 28 November 2025
In the first appeal the High Court allowed the appeal on the basis of serious procedural irregularity, set aside the lower court’s decision, and remitted the matter for reconsideration:

In the second appeal the court granted permission to appeal (including out of time) and conducted a full reconsideration of the underlying issues, providing important clarification on the correct approach to permission applications, older children, and welfare analysis in private law proceedings:

The hearings involved complex procedural and welfare issues, requiring precise, strategic appellate advocacy, careful analysis of procedural fairness, and a confident presentation of welfare arguments before the Family Division of the High Court.
