Rayan Qadri, instructed by Lewis Nedas Law, secured not guilty verdicts after a 6-day trial at Harrow Crown Court regarding one count of making threats to kill and two counts of threatening with a bladed article in a private place.
The Crown's live witnesses claimed that upon visiting the residence in which the defendant lived to carry out repair works and assess the state of the property, she threatened to kill them and brandished knives in their direction. The incidents were filmed on the complainants' phones and played in court.
Rayan successfully argued that the threats to kill should be dismissed at the close of the Crown's case. The remaining counts were left to the jury and they returned unanimous verdicts.
