The documentary, entitled 'Hell in a bottle: I survived an acid attack’, follows a number of victims of acid attacks, looking into how the attack unfolded and the impact it has had on their health and long term well-being. Barrister Mohammed Bashir was interviewed in respect to his involvement as a lawyer, in acid attack cases, and generally as to the law surrounding the prosecution and sentencing of offenders charged with such crimes. During the interview, he discusses why such crimes are on the increase and the likely future approach of courts to the sentencing of such crimes.
