Known for his steadfast commitment to justice, meticulous case preparation, and formidable courtroom presence, Ravi is a sought-after specialist in criminal advocacy. Ravi has extensive experience spanning all stages of criminal proceedings, including police station representation, contested trials in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts, and appellate work. He also acts as an experienced adjudicator handling complex dispute resolutions and regulatory matters within the higher education sector. Ravi also has a deep understanding of regulatory standards, practice development, and high-level caseload management.
Ravi was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 1987. He began his courtroom career as a Legal Advisor at Bedford Magistrates’ Court in 1988 before joining the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in Bedford. He subsequently transitioned to CPS London under the mentorship of the late Mr. Robert J. Chronnell, then Chief Crown Prosecutor for North London. During this foundational period, Ravi navigated complex prosecuted caseloads with absolute integrity, developing an acute understanding of state-v-individual dynamics. Demonstrating exceptional early promise, he completed his pupillage at 3 Paper Buildings under a rare, fully-funded sponsorship by the CPS.
