Clive Redley

Introduction

Clive has been a specialist family lawyer for over 25 years. His career began as a trainee at Bindman's Solicitors. Following completion of his training Clive worked in house with a number of firms before moving to the firm of Sternberg Reed where he was a partner and joint head of their specialist Public Law Department. Clive's move to the Bar in November 2010 was a natural progression as an advocate and reflected Clive's in-depth experience dealing with all aspects of public law.

Clive is not only an outstanding advocate he is also an expert in case management and court protocols. He served on the Family Procedure Rules Committee for six years and is the author of The Family Procedure Rules 2010: A Guide for Private and Public Law Proceedings Regarding Children. 

Clive is approachable, clear and focused. He is experienced in dealing with every kind of client whatever their challenges or vulnerabilities. He treats each client with respect however difficult the circumstances. He acts for all parties in Care Proceedings including parents, children, local authorities, guardians and intervenors and specialises in cases involving amongst other things those with complex medical and psychiatric evidence, sexual abuse, fabricated illness, drugs and alcohol. He has a particular interest in cases with a foreign element and human rights issues.
