Ravinder Saimbhi represented a client last week who at the age of 73, was accused of 4 counts of historic sexual abuse dating back to the mid-80’s alleged by the daughter of his then partner.

The allegations were not made until 2021 and were supported by a number of witnesses called by the prosecution and contested on the basis that they were simply not true.

The jury at Taunton Crown Court (sitting at North Somerset) acquitted Mr W in less than 2 hours following a full week’s trial. Mr W was released from the dock a free man and with his good character intact.

The stress of facing proceedings of this type can never be underestimated and Mr W and his family were delighted at the outcome. The case was brilliantly and extremely diligently prepared by Nick Ives and Jamie Dickson at Mary Monson Solicitors.
