Ravinder Saimbhi succeeded on a submission of No Case to Answer for her client at the conclusion of the prosecution evidence at Isleworth Crown Court this week.

Mr B was accused of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs which he denied emphatically. The case against him was based solely on telephone evidence which purported to support the prosecution. Despite robust representations and an application to exclude the material before the jury was put in charge, the prosecution pursued the case. Ravinder’s diligent cross examination and challenge of the Drug Expert Witness and the Officer in the Case starkly revealed the inadequacies of the case resulting in the Judge accepting the submissions made at half time. The jury was directed to return Not Guilty verdicts and Mr B was immediately released from the dock.
