Members of chambers accept instructions from solicitors, from professionals (Licenced Access) and, in appropriate circumstances, from members of the public and businesses (on a Direct Public Access Basis).

Members work to agreed timescales and achieve a normal return of paperwork within 14 working days and to a tighter time scale in urgent matters. Chambers' clerks value long term working relationships with solicitors and lay clients. They seek to assist in any way they can in suggesting suitable counsel, liaising with listing offices, or referring work on to other specialist sets when we are unable to cover the work proposed.

For private work the client is notified of anticipated fees for papers on receipt of instructions and the acceptance of the brief by counsel and the basis of charging is agreed and recorded. Chambers' contractual terms and conditions for private work undertaken on instruction from a solicitor, which are approved by the Bar Standards Board, are set out here.
