Ravinder Saimbhi represented her client who was facing a retrial at the Central Criminal Court (Nightingale) accused of multiple counts of sexual assault on a girl under 13. He was acquitted by the jury of all counts within 2 hours.

Ravinder had also represented him at his original trial in 2021 and following an acquittal on 2 counts and a hung jury on 3 others, conducted the retrial on the remaining allegations.

Mr A had been an Arabic teacher and was accused by a student who he had been teaching in a private home alongside her siblings.

Ravinder skillfully and sensitively cross examined a number of young and vulnerable witnesses in order to assist the jury in determining the case against her client.

Having faced the most serious of allegations since 2019 when the matters were reported, Mr A was finally acquitted and is now able to resume his life after a hugely stressful 5 years.
