André Nobbs, a former chief minister, and his colleagues came to chambers to seek advice on public international law questions.

Norfolk Island is looking for a status and a home: they had self-government in 1979 to 2015, when Canberra then imposed direct rule.

The Norfolk Island leaders are looking to the United Nations in New York; the islanders have already petitioned this global body in 2016 and 2018.

Judging by the smiles, they must have learned something positive.
