Dr. Francis Graydon has been awarded a Master of Laws degree with Distinction in Information Technology Law from the Edinburgh Law School at the University of Edinburgh

Chambers is delighted to announce that Dr. Francis Graydon has been awarded a Master of Laws degree with Distinction in Information Technology Law from the Edinburgh law School at the University of Edinburgh. 

Dr. Graydon is awarded this degree following the completion of a formal programme of study, scholarly writing, and research within a number of specialist areas in law over the last three years. 

These include several of his practise areas such as:

  • Data protection law
  • Information technology law 
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Robotics law and regulation of autonomous systems 
  • Forensic computing and electronic evidence

Dr. Graydon also completed a dissertation within the specialist area of data protection law entitled   

  • The compatibility of live facial recognition technology (FRT) deployment by UK law enforcement with data protection law

He was also awarded a distinction in recognition of his achievement in this work. His dissertation is available to read here.

Dr. Graydon is a specialist practitioner in the areas of data protection, privacy and surveillance as well as the associated area of cyberlaw and the online environment.
