In the article published by the Financial Times on 13 September 2019, Maeve O'Rourke is featured as one of the top ten innovative lawyers.

Under the title 'Legal professionals who have shown vision in a world in flux', the article highlights Maeve's work campaigning for justice for those affected by Ireland's mother-and-baby homes, including the indefinite detention of girls and women in institutions such as the Magdalene Laundries, and the forced adoption system. It further highlights her work as director at Clann Project, obtaining witness statements to submit to the Mother and Baby Homes Commission of Investigation, and producing a report with recommendations for the Commission, the government and international human rights bodies.

This is well deserved recognition for her exceptional work, highlighting these profound injustices.

The profiles were compiled by RSG Consulting researchers and FT editors.
