Following a successful submission of no case to answer at the Central Criminal Court Nichola Cafferkey’s client found not guilty of conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to cause GBH, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Nichola’s 18 year old client had been charged, along with three other young men, with the offences following a ‘drive by shooting’ wherein a shotgun had been discharged twice against two males in a residential area.

Submissions of no case to answer were made focusing on deficiencies in the evidence regarding the identity of the shooters and the requisite knowledge/intent of all alleged conspirators. Ultimately, the court ruled that there was no case to answer for any of the defendants.

Nichola was instructed by Ricky Arora of Arora Lodhi Heath solicitors.
