Olivia Beach successfully secured urgent interim relief for an extremely vulnerable asylum seeker. He is a survivor of torture, a victim of rape and has suffered considerable trauma.

The Secretary of State for the Home Department had moved the client to accommodation where he was required to share a room with another male, despite considerable evidence about the effects this would have on his mental health and treatment, including reports from Freedom from Torture.

The urgent interim relief order required the Defendant to provide the client with single occupancy accommodation forthwith.

Olivia was instructed by Polly Glynn and Yashna Patel at Deighton Pierce Glynn. If you wish to instruct her in similar work, please contact her clerks on clerks@33br.co.uk.
