Dermot Flanagan FCIArb, S.C has been in practice as a Barrister in Ireland since 1987 and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2000.

Mr. Flanagan is a qualified and practising mediator and arbitrator. As Counsel, he specializes in environmental, compulsory acquisition, planning and infrastructure law. He has very significant experience acting for public authorities in infrastructure projects including: roads, waste, ports, water, rail, airport, and Strategic Development Zones. He is currently preparing a text on the Law of Compulsory Acquisition.

In England and Wales, Mr Flanagan is an arbitrator and mediator, and so can provide arbitration and mediation services.  Mr Flanagan was called to the Bar in England and Wales in October, 2019 and holds a practising certificate. He accepts instructions as counsel in England & Wales.
